Those who chose GOD over the world chose wisely
Numbers 24: 5/10–12
“The SPIRIT of GOD came upon Balaam & he betrayed King Balak he spoke this oracle: How beautiful are your tents O Jacob, your dwelling places O Israel. May those who bless you be blessed those who curse you be cursed! Then Balaks anger burned against Balaam, I called you to curse my enemies but you blessed them instead. Now leave at once. I said i would reward you handsomely, but the LORD has kept you from my reward.”
Though Balaams motives were not always correct, in blessing Israel he acted following GODs WILL. He acted with integrity, GODs message had filled him so completely that Balaam spoke the truth. In doing so he forfeited untold wealth that lured him to Balak in the 1st place. Staying true to GODs WORD & actively seeking GODs WILL may cost us dearly in this world. But that is the very short sighted view, those who chose to dishonor GOD, choosing this worlds passing temptations will be lost forever. Those who chose GOD will one day stand before GOD justified forever free.
