the Book of Numbers
One of the main themes of the Book of Numbers is unbelief in GODs SOVEREIGNTY. Israel was prevented from entering the Promised Land because of their unbelief. Throughout history GOD’s people have continued to struggle with a lack of Faith, now this malady is passed down to us. We must stop unbelief & lack of Faith from gaining a foothold in our lives, it will cut us off from a close relationship with GOD keeping us from enjoying the blessings GOD wants for us. The end result of unbelief is out right rebellion against GOD & this leads to disaster. Rebellion does not usually begin with covert acts it begins in our thought life & breeds like gangrene into our Souls, eventually leading us to defile our bodies & we die to GOD lost in a world of fleshly desirers. We can combat this by starting our day with GODs WORD, I heard a comment from my Pastor once, people who have a well used Bible have a well lived life. Stand before our FATHER every day with a prayer of gratitude, lift up your Soul to the HOLY SPIRIT live a life of service. Live in peace.
